Garden Plant Sale and Coffee Morning on Saturday 5th May from 10am. A huge variety of plants will be on sale including various types of geranium, busy lizzies, petunias, dahlias, marigolds, lobelia, antirrhinum, nicotiana, runner beans & lots of other flowers & vegetables.

There will be cake and book stalls and a raffle. Entry will be £2 for adults which includes tea/coffee and a refill. No expenses are taken so ALL the proceeds from the sale will be donated to a variety of charities. Last year the Colbalt Unit and the Air Ambulance had the largest donations and a full list of last year's recipients will be on display at the sale. Last year a total of £1300 was distributed.

NOTICE REGARDING BELL RINGING. At St Swithun's - To celebrate the imminent marriage of H.R.H. Prince Harry and Miss Meghan Markle, a visiting band will be ringing a full peal of 5,040 changes lasting approximately 3 hours commencing at 2.30pm on Friday 18th May. Such ringing is only performed at St Swithun's for very special local & national events and I trust you will view it as part of traditional village life. Richard J Page - Tower Captain.

Celebration of the Royal Wedding

A CELEBRATION OF THE ROYAL WEDDING on Saturday 19th May at Leonard Stanley Village Hall.

Why not come along and see the Royal Wedding televised on a large screen in the Village Hall, enjoy a buffet lunch and toast the Royal Couple with a glass of wine or a soft drink and meet up with friends old and new. There will be limited bar available. There will be no charge but we would kindly ask for a donation towards the refurbishment of the village hall. Doors will be open at 11.30am in time to settle down to watch the wedding commencing at 12noon. For those who wish to stay on, we will then be showing the F.A. Cup Final. For catering purposes please ring 828972 or 826510. Please come and enjoy this special occasion and help your village hall at the same time.

Charity Disco: 60's, 70's & 80's music, being held on Staurday 19th May at Kings Stanley Village Hall. In memory of Marion Willey (nee Gale) who lived in King's Stanley all of her life. Marion hosted numerous fund raisers over the years for village causes and charities. All proceeds from this Disco will go to 'Help for Heroes' and 'Cancer'Research'. 8pm til late. How to use a defibrillator TRAINING

Learn how to use a Defibrillator - Leonard Stanley Village Hall 23rd May 2018 7pm - 9pm.

The Community Heartbeat Trust will be demonstrating the use of defibrillators and explaining how the equipment works and its benefits to the community in saving previous minutes in the treatment of sudden cardiac arrest.

Everybody is welcome, and no special skills are required, just your willingness to play an important role in the event of a medical emergency. There is no charge for this training and you can receive a certificate!
